Sacraments & More
Here at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish we have many opportunities to experience the Love of Jesus Christ. Catholics primarily experience God through acts of worship we call The Seven Sacraments. A sacrament is an outward sign, instituted by Christ to give grace. In addition to the sacraments we offer Bible Study, Women of Grace, and opportunity to learn about the Catholic Faith in our RCIA program. Always consult the the bulletin or call the office for details.
Weddings: The Sacrament of Matrimony
We require 6 months advanced notice to schedule a wedding.
"This is why a man leaves his father and mother and becomes attached to his wife, and the two become one flesh. They are no longer two, therefore, but one flesh. So then, what God has united, human beings must not divide." (Matthew 19:5-6)
Sacrament of Baptism
Baptismal instruction is offered at 7:00 p.m. on the third Tuesday of each month. Please call the office to register.
"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit." (Matthew 28:19)
Anointing of the Sick
Available at any time by calling Father Michael. This powerful Sacrament is recommended any time someone is hospitalized, before surgery and at times of serious and/or chronic illness.
Previously know as Last Rites, the Sacrament of the Sick is highly recommended for anyone who may be near death.
"If anyone is sick amont you let them call for the priests of the Church. They will anoint them with oil, and the Lord will lift them up again." (James 5:14)
Currently, we are studying the Gospel of Matthew. Lead by Jim Pagana, this Bible study is generally held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursdays in our Parish Meeting Room. Check the Bulletin.
"Study to show yourselves aprpoved." (2nd Timothy 2:15)
