Welcome Letter from Fr. Michael McCormick

It is with great joy that we welcome you to our parish. Here at Our Lady of Lourdes, we are blessed by our rich history extending all the way back to the appearance of Mary, the Mother of God in Lourdes, France to a young woman named Bernadette. It is important for us to remember that a parish is more than its buildings. It is people.

Specifically, it is a people seeking to follow Jesus. As disciples of Christ, we are dedicated to building God's Kingdom through our prayer, service, and outreach to others in faith.

A parish is people who gather together to worship, fellowship, and serve through charitable acts, all in the name of and love for Jesus. A Catholic Parish is where we receive the Body and Blood of Christ at Holy Mass. Every aspect of parish life here at Lourdes flows from this central act of worship.

The things I love about our parish include the spirit of prayer and reverence and the dedication of so many to our activities. These activities include CCD, adult formation, youth activities, the annual parish picnic, the parish festival, and the support and care of those who suffer and grieve. We are a parish family.

Please know that you can always come to us if you have questions or if you would like to become more involved in Parish life. We are happy and honored that you have chosen to become a member of Our Lady of Lourdes. I hope that Our Lady of Lourdes will become your spiritual home.

Yours in Christ,

Fr. Michael McCormick
